They always take on board customers suggestions. Whenever the service department receives useful ideas for optimising sport watches, bike computers, lights or software, these ideas are passed on to Sigma's developers so that they can begin working on the implementation.
To maintain the leading market position for bike computers, sport watches, and lighting systems, Sigma products are thoroughly tested. As well as testing products on the bike Sigma has developed special equipment to simulate and expedite long term usage. One hour on our vibration machine is equivalent to the amount of impact typically withstood over the course of an entire year. Their climatic chamber can test products in extreme cold, excessive heat, rain, moisture, and wind (and the combination of any of these extreme conditions). On top of that, lights are tested for illumination quality and burn times.
All products must pass drop tests. And, of course, they thoroughly test for functionality, aesthetic appearances, workmanship, and power consumption. Mass production cannot begin until all tests have been successfully passed. Before the goods are packaged by hand and sent to customers all over the world, quality assurance employees continue to test random samples from each production batch. Moreover, the final test – every Sigma product must meet our customer's expectations!
